Pearl String of Fics: First Kisses In the Rain

So inspired partly by comment_fic and partly by my amazing Twitter timeline, I'd like to open up the first ever Pearl String of Fics.

In the comments, please leave a short fic/drabble depicting a First Kiss in the Rain. Any pairing or fandom is welcome. There may be many Dean/Castiel fics, but we'll just consider them the white pearls, and the other pairings are the colored pearls that liven up the necklace, yes?

It was perhaps apt, that the release of the monster souls from Castiel was accompanied by the most violent storm Sam had ever seen. The raindrops were sharp and thin, each one a tiny pinprick on his skin, their assault exacerbated by the howling wind. In the middle of a charred field knelt Castiel, still in that goddamned trench coat, he was as rigid as a statue. The former god didn’t seem to be bothered by the rain, or, Sam thought, he might be too far gone to notice. Suddenly, a lightning cracked across the sky, followed by an earth shattering thunder. A flicker of life was jolted back into Castiel’s eyes, and Sam saw guilt, sorrow, atonement. Not unlike what he used to see in the mirror, but more importantly, he saw love.

Sam made his way across the field and sank to his knees in front of Castiel. Then, as if it was the most natural thing to do, he cupped Castiel’s face and kissed. Castiel’s lips were cold, barely responsive, but Sam felt Castiel’s sigh of gratitude. Sam was thankful too, in a morbid kind of way, that Castiel’s very last memory was his very first kiss.
