Woo! I finally found my way back here through Cautionary Tales, which was the first Matt/Mohinder fic I ever read. I adore that story, so I was very curious about the other Episodic Tangents.
This one? Blew my mind! It's gorgeous and (bitter)sweet and has it all: a wonderful premise, great characterization and beautiful language. I'm completely in love with this sentence:
"Good morning," he whispered, digging his chin into the dark, lush curls and inhaling the scent of his future memories.
You manage to convey Matt's angst perfectly (oh, and let's not forget Mohinder - he's having it rough too!) and it was heartbreaking! Then you mix in a little hilarity - "shut up about the goddamn blood already!" - to alleviate the hurt... and then comes the sweet, sweet conclusion: Matt's finally come home. Yay!
I have so much love for this story!
