So inspired partly by
comment_fic and partly by my amazing Twitter timeline, I'd like to open up the first ever Pearl String of Fics.
In the comments, please leave a short fic/drabble depicting a First Kiss in the Rain. Any pairing or fandom is welcome. There may be many Dean/Castiel fics, but we'll just consider them the white pearls, and the other pairings are the colored pearls that liven up the necklace, yes?
Each unique, all beautiful...
Enjoy :)

Not that he'd dream of rejecting what she has offered or refusing her request. A rule had been broken in the marking of her soul. She had been too young. "I can ask for quite a bit, you're aware of that, aren't you?"
"Very aware." She swallows as he walks towards her and reaches a hand out, curiously dry in this downpour.
He pushes her drenched hair away from her face and smiles. "Then my answer to your request, my girl - is yes." With that, he placed both hands on her face and gently pressed his lips to hers. He knew they would be soft, her kiss warm as she slanted her mouth open to accept him. He almost laughed in delight when he caught the taste of chocolate in her mouth. Godiva Truffles. She had eaten what she thought would be her last meal.
Gabriel always did like a girl with a taste for fine confections. He withdrew and then pressed a second kiss to her forehead. "Let's get you some place dry, Bella."
She managed a very weak smile - the Trickster's kiss has left her almost breathless. "Thank you." Is all she can think to say, the memory of the kiss still lingering on her lips.

Date: 2011-09-08 12:25 am (UTC)"Please."
Astrid wasn't sure if Olivia had said it as a quiet plea to be pushed over the edge, or if she had said it to bring Olivia in, but the result was the same. Soft heat blooming between them when their lips met, moist and warm, sliding together so easily, shocking easily, like the misty rain had blurred them together like wet clay.
Steam curled around them as they molded together, warm in the rain, not sure where one ended and the other began.

Date: 2011-09-08 12:37 am (UTC)Jo had somehow been given an Winchester miracle and been brought back by a new god seeking Dean’s love and adoration. Dean would deal with Castiel later. After he’d gotten enough of Jo’s kisses.

Date: 2011-09-08 12:39 am (UTC)Sherlock/John
Date: 2011-09-08 12:40 am (UTC)Huddled against Sherlock, half-inside his coat, John drew heat from his wiry body and thin lips. His head was tilted back to reach, his throat bare and undefended as Sherlock tasted every inch of his mouth, sucked the rain from his lips and pushed deeper, always deeper. It's like being examined, inside and out, while John's hand clutched white-knuckled to the handle of Sherlock's umbrella, the only thing standing between them and a soaking afternoon.
Sherlock hardly seemed to notice, planting his hands on either side of John's head. His fingers clenched against the dripping strands of John's hair and he began to slide back from their first kiss. Barely a heartbeat passed before he was back, again and again until John felt like he was drowning in it, every sense overcome; first kiss turned to second turned to third.
By the time Sherlock was done with him, there was no more need for the umbrella.
The rain had stopped.

Dean/Castiel
Date: 2011-09-08 12:55 am (UTC)Castiel tucked his wings back down. There was no need to shelter Dean from the storm, not when Castiel could feel the simple pleasure Dean took from it. For now Castiel was content to watch Dean, until he wasn’t. Then he leaned forward, pressing his lips to Dean’s to taste the rain upon them and tang of Dean’s skin.

Date: 2011-09-08 12:55 am (UTC)A peel of thunder crashed overheard and Dean jumped. Castiel could feel it. It was palpable on his skin, this raw emotion that he seemed to bleed through his pores. All the despair, the loss, the devastation that he felt were like words on paper; readable in the dark circles under his eyes and in the frown on his beautiful face. Dean was no less stunning in the rain. In this light, in this way, droplets of crystal magnified the freckles that Castiel could barely see any more, brought to his eyes detail that he would never ignore. The way his green eyes held so much depth, soul and kindness, the way his jaw tensed while he stood there thinking… Dean was, in a word, perfect. God’s greatest gift.
When Dean sighed, so did Castiel. When Dean moved his head to look into the black horizon, Castiel mimicked the slight tilt of his head. And then… Castiel kissed him. Dean didn't feel it, wouldn't and never did. These were Castiel's stolen moments; seconds of intimacy he thought he’d never have with Dean. Seconds of peace and beauty that were so chaste and so… uplifting that God couldn’t hope to create anything nearly as perfect. In that second, Castiel knew he would do anything for Dean, because of Dean, even make a deal with the King of Hell.
Castiel fought back a swell of emotion that pounded against his chest. Dean wouldn’t feel the hand that brushed against his face, the thumb that crested over a cheekbone to wipe away what Castiel knew was a tear. Dean wouldn’t feel any of it; not the pain of fighting another Apocalypse, not the sorrow that came with loss. Castiel would save him from ever hurting again.
Dean wouldn’t hear Castiel whisper, “I miss you.,” into his ear, wouldn’t notice the sound of flapping wings as the angel took flight. The only thing Dean would hear was another growl of thunder and the rain’s chorus against the rooftops.
Dean would never know how much Castiel truly loved him.

Date: 2011-09-08 01:20 am (UTC)Taste the Rainbow
Date: 2011-09-08 01:23 am (UTC)The rain continues, obviously not willing to accept his apology. It does get a couple of degrees warmer, though.
"Come on!" Dean covers his eyes with his hand, which does nothing to stop the rain from running into his face. He licks the moisture off his lips; it tastes oddly sweet. "I didn't mean it, okay? I take it back. Now will you knock it off?"
"What was that? I didn't quite hear you."
Gabriel's leaning against the car -- an crime punishable by death in Dean's book -- watching Dean with an amused expression. Completely dry, of course. Just like everything else in the parking lot except for Dean himself, who is currently blessed with his own personal 3-foot-diameter thunderstorm.
Dean kicks at the puddle he's standing in, the only puddle in the freaking city. "You heard me."
A tiny lightning bolt sizzles down from the cloud and zaps the tips of Dean's hair.
"Hey!" Dean pats his hair, checking for crispiness. "Don't mess with my hair!"
"I'm waiting..." Gabriel sing-songs.
"Okay, okay. I'm sorry I said you had bad taste in movies."
"And..."
Dean sighs. Maybe it can just rain forever. He'll get used to it. "And I'm sorry I said you eat too much candy."
"Damn right." Gabriel pulls out a Milky Way bar. "You're lucky that's not a hail of marshmallows you're standing under. Or Milk Duds. Those would hurt."
Dean has to laugh at that. "You are such a jerk."
"You love it," Gabriel says with a cheeky grin.
It's probably hypothermia that makes Dean reach out and grab Gabriel, that's all. Not that Dean actually likes Gabriel or thinks his assholery is kind of funny, or that he might possibly find Gabriel almost charming in a jackassish kind of way. No, Dean's just trying to get a little revenge by pulling Gabriel into his single-serving thunderstorm. Gabriel squawks gratifyingly when Dean hauls him into range, absurdly covering his head with his arms. "Hey!"
It's just a little payback, but now Gabriel is standing absurdly close in the tiny circle of rain, laughing and holding up a hand like he's about to snap the storm into a hail of sugar, and it's definitely hypothermia that makes Dean lean down and kiss the smile off his lips.
Gabriel kisses him back, and it's as warm and sweet as the rain.
