This is wonderful. I adore the gentle rhythm of it, the dreaminess. It reminded me vaguely of the ballroom scene in Labyrinth (I'm not sure if you know it; if you do, I wasn't picturing Samuel with David Bowie's hair. The costume - maybe!). The lovely, sad little insights into the characters were perfect (I partcularly loved the Hiro's sweetness, and Nathan touching Peter's cheek, both of them acknowledging the dichotomy and Peter accepting it...oh, my heart!).

Also: first carnival orgy I've read! Congrats. Hope to see more :)
