I know how much of themselves writers invest in their work, and I always like to leave honest, positive feedback on work I really like in hopes that it will give the author a little boost and encouragement. Makes me really, really happy that you appreciate it.
My bestie isn't published yet, but she's clawed her way high up the ranks of my school's writing department, and our favorite writing professor (who worked in publishing for years in addition to writing herself, and was friends with Kurt Vonnegut and a ton of other famous, excellent writers) is convinced that she's got what it takes to make it. I agree with her.
